File This In the "DUH" Cabinet
Arlen Specter says he left the Republican Party because they were moving to far right and moderate (i.e. RINO) Republicans were being targeted for replacement.
Alright, who told? We were trying to keep this a secret.
Whoda thunk it? Grassroots conservative activists working to get rid of vermicelli-spined, go-along-to-get-along, no-values politicains and working to elect citizens who hold traditional conservative beliefs and will suport and promote the restoration of the Founder's vision and values.
Specter, mastermind of the "Single Bullet Theory" during the Warren Commission hearings, quit the Republican Party because he's a scum sucking low-life dhimmicrat and he sucks at keeping his word, which puts him squarely in the middle of the dhimmicrat party. He's a lawyer-politician and the conservative movement is better off without him.

Military Families United Issues Report on Ohbaby
America's leading military family advocacy organization has released President Obama's 100-day National Security Report Card, evaluating the administration's policy decisions in a number of key areas.
The grades were not so glowing in a report card issued by Military Families United (MFU), which evaluated Obama and his defense team on Iraq, Afghanistan, Guantanamo Bay, veterans, defense policies, and military family issues. Commander Kirk Lippold (USN-Ret.), the senior military fellow for MFU, says while Obama scored Bs on Iraq and Afghanistan, he received an F for his actions involving Guantanamo Bay.
"I think that the decision to close Guantanamo Bay by an arbitrary date with no plans in place, no policy established, and no idea about what you're going to do with those detainees, clearly is nothing more than a political model," he contends. "And our nation's security cannot be driven by politics."
Obama, according to Lippold, needs to be closely watched. "I would say that overall his performance has been average. And quite frankly, he bears a lot of watching," he adds. "You have to, again, look at what he does -- not what he eloquently says he's going to do. Keep an eye on him because if you don't, he will try to fly things under the radar and do things in the dark of night."
Lippold says Obama received C grades in the areas of veterans and defense policy, but only a D on handling issues related to military families.

Great Americans
Great Americans is perhaps one of the most promising tradtional values video websites to come along in a good while. This type of site has been desperately needed since 11 September 2001.
My brothers over at EaglesUp actually have a similar site, called protrooptube.com, but there seems to be a problem and Grey Wolf has other, more pressing tasks to attend to. Seriously.
I need him for the protroopevents website. He is the wizard. He is legend.
While LiveLeak and the now merged Ogrish were good sources for battle videos and videos of a rather gruesome nature, we needed an outlet for the good stuff.
(although I watched a video from a gunship at night of an incident in Iraq, that was hilarious. I will not describe it in detail, but I want you to think carport, convertible, two very atheletic consenting adults, (NOT military), who, to phrase it delicately, "danced like no one was watching".)
No less than 4 helicopters were involved in the surviellance, and the chatter between the pilots had me in hysterics.
Back to GA. Lets get rolling on getting videos uploaded of ordinary people doing extraordinary things for the extraordinary people who protect us and come to our aid when needed.
But give us some funny stuff too.
CJ has some good stuff up at A Soldiers Perspective.
Blackfive and Tankerbabe, and JP and Troy and CJ, and JD Johannes are doing some great stuff with video.
Show the world what you're doing. Tell the world about your heros. Get involved.

Ambassador Alan Keyes Issues Warning
I'm no fan of prison planet, but they posted Dr. Keyes' remarks.
Former presidential candidate Alan Keyes has given perhaps his most dire warning yet, saying that the Obama administration is preparing to stage terror attacks, declare martial law and cancel the 2012 elections, which is why they are demonizing their political enemies as criminals and terrorists.
Keyes is best known for his performance during the 2000 Republican presidential debates, when he was accredited by many media outlets as being the clear winner during a series of debates with George W. Bush and John McCain.
“It’s obvious that they will stop at nothing,” Keyes told attendees of a reception in Fort Wayne, adding, “We may wake up one day and there’s a series of terrorist attacks, the economy is paralysed….martial law will be declared everywhere in the United States and it won’t end until the crisis ends.”
Keyes said that Americans should be thankful if they even see another election in 2012, stating, “If we don’t wake up and work to see that it happens, we will not see another election.”
“The minute they think they can get away with it, they will end this system of government and that is their intention,” added Keyes, noting that everyone acting as if the time we are in was just “business as usual” reminds him of the attitude of politicians in the Weimar Republic when Hitler was rising to power or eastern Europe when the Communists were taking over after the second world war.
Keyes said that because the majority of people are decent-minded, they believe others will play by the rules when this simply isn’t the case, warning that this attitude will allow evil to take over before we can do anything about it.
“It is so clear hat we have now put a faction in place - they are not playing by the rules and they don’t intend to play by the rules - if they were playing by the rules they wouldn’t have tried to identify their opposition as criminals,” added Keyes, making reference to the recent controversy surrounding the release of the MIAC and Homeland Security reports, which implied that Americans who exercise and are knowledgeable about their constitutional rights are a threat to law enforcement and potential domestic terrorists.
Keyes said that the only solution was from the bottom up because our leaders “are so gutless that they won’t even ask that the Constitution be enforced for clear, plain, absolutely unequivocal requirements,” and respond meekly with “their lips shut and their hearts terrorized.”
Keyes also warned of Obama’s agenda to create a civilian security force and said it was part of the ultimate agenda to disarm American citizens and create a police state.
Keyes has been a vocal critic of Obama, warning that he is a radical Communist who is determined to destroy America, and that if his agenda is not stopped then the country as we know it will cease to exist.

This Is Bad...Very Bad
From NewsMax:
A liberal newspaper columnist and former counsel to billionaire George Soros’ Open Societies Institute has been tapped for a key Defense Department position despite what Washington insiders have termed her “extremist,” Bush-bashing views.
Rosa Brooks will serve as principal adviser to Undersecretary of Defense Michele Flournoy, according to a report in the Weekly Standard. In that substantial insider position, Brooks, who once famously penned that the Bush administration’s “big legal lies paved the way for some of the most shameful episodes in our history,” will have constant contact with DOD policy chief Flournoy, who reports directly to Defense Secretary Robert Gates and eyeballs every major defense department decision.
In 2007, Brooks wrote: “Thanks to U.S. policies, al-Qaida has become the vast global threat the administration imagined it to be in 2001.”
That sort of attitude, along with Brooks' apparent lack of military or policy experience, has many pundits scratching their heads over the hiring.
“It is hard to think of a more inappropriate political appointment at a time when America needs a hard-headed approach to winning a global war instead of defeatist, far-left rhetoric,” wrote the U.K.’s Telegraph in an editorial. “Let’s hope this is isn’t the kind of advice the new administration takes on for the war in Afghanistan.”
“Any time you have people with extreme views on the right or left it makes people nervous here,” one senior official told Human Affairs.
In some of her more extreme published comments, Brooks:
Said, “Many innocent civilians suffered in the aftermath of the U.S. withdrawal from Vietnam, but it’s more accurate to attribute their suffering to the prolongation of the war itself, rather than to the U.S. withdrawal as such.”
Labeled Iraq pre-war intelligence as “the Bush administration’s cooking of the intelligence books.”
Praised President Obama’s “end[ing] of the war on terror” “with just a few words and strokes of his pen.”
Insisted Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney “should be treated like psychotics who need treatment”
Called the surge in Iraq a “feckless plan” which had “no realistic likelihood that it will lead to an enduring solution in Iraq.”
Termed President Bush “our torturer in chief.”
Compared the Bush administration’s legal arguments on the war on terror with Adolf Hitler’s use of political propaganda.
Accused former civilian White House and Pentagon officials of being “eager to embrace the values normally exemplified by military juntas.”
Said America under Bush was like “being a passenger in a car driven by a drunk driver.”
The Defense Department’s official job description says Brooks is a “principal adviser” to Flournoy to “develop cross regional planning.” The department laudes her as bringinbg "to the position a thorough knowledge of U.S. and foreign national security and diplomatic objectives and the ability to quickly master the broad range of issues and functional responsibilities under the purview of the under secretary.”
Brooks’ boss, Flournoy, was once a top military adviser to President Bill Clinton, and served for a time as one of the analysts at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington.
The U.K.’s Telegraph noted that Fluornoy will play a key role in shaping the U.S.-led war in Afghanistan, as well as the wider war against al-Qaida. “She will also be a central figure in shaping U.S.-U.K. defense cooperation and Washington’s policy

Hey Hey Ho Ho Napolitano Has To Go
This woman has no business running the Sanitation Department, much less the department tasked with keeping America safe.
I have some advice for the Secratary: stop worrying about veterans and real Americans being terrorists and worry about the real terrorists. The ones who actually SAY they want to destroy America and are right now plotting ways to carry that out.
Start acknowledging they actually exist and call them what they are: TERRORISTS!!!!
Call what they do TERRORISM, not man made disasters.
DFC
From the WST Richmond Team
and I'm going to shamelessly purloin this missive and post it as a question to all elected officials.
Will you publicly CONDEMN the recently-released "assessment" from the Department of Homeland Security warning law enforcement officials about a rise in "rightwing extremist activity," labeling citizens opposed to new firearms restrictions, returning veterans and conservatives as "rightwing extremists" and associating them with white supremacists and violent antigovernment groups.
We have some questions and we are entitled to answers:
1. Who is funding this kind of nonsense?
2. Did YOU vote for this?
3. Why would my government spend my money attacking ME, instead of spending my money PROTECTING me?
This report is an insult to military veterans and American gun owners, and as a Member of the U.S. Congress, I would like to see you and your colleagues TAKE ACTION IMMEDIATELY to condemn this report, and to demand its retraction by DHS.Specifically, the following questions should be addressed:
1- Who asked for the production of this document?
2- What was the product description?
3- What were the sources used to prepare this document?
4- What were the competing hypothesis in doing the analysis?
Words and actions have consequences, and irresponsible statements, reports and actions fuel fires that are counterproductive to democracy in America.Do the RIGHT thing -- publicly CONDEMN the DHS document, "Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment"

UCV Unlocked; Cargosquid's Post
UPDATE1:concretebob OK the blog has been unlocked, but it looks as if we're still having some problems with the text generator.
In addition to Governor Henry being a radical, modern day radicals who can be added to this list are Governor Rick Perry of Texas and Del Chris Peace from Hanover for their "State's Rights" legislation. Apparently, Patrick Henry was a terrorist. And a "rightwing" one at that!
Support of this document makes you seem to be a terrorist! Just ask the Department of Homeland Security. From the PDF: (empahsis mine)
Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.Do you like how principled opposition to the government is linked to racism?
"The alleged gunman’s reaction reportedly was influenced by his racist ideology"(Actually the only accusations I've seen or heard are those by the Obama people.)
"Rightwing extremist chatter on the Internet continues to focus on the economy, the perceived loss of U.S. jobs in the manufacturing and construction sectors, and home foreclosures. Anti-Semitic extremists attribute these losses to a deliberate conspiracy conducted by a cabal of Jewish “financial elites.”
Many rightwing extremists are antagonistic toward the new presidential administration and its perceived stance on a range of issues, including immigration and citizenship, the expansion of social programs to minorities, and restrictions on firearms ownership and use.(Except doesn't this describe the GOP?) Then linked the above to racism:
Most statements by rightwing extremists have been rhetorical, expressing concerns about the election of the first African American president, but stopping short of calls for violent action. In two instances in the run-up to the election, extremists appeared to be in the early planning stages of some threatening activity targeting the Democratic nominee, but law enforcement interceded.Again:
"Prominent among these themes were the militia movement’s opposition to gun control efforts, criticism of free trade agreements (particularly those with Mexico), and highlighting perceived government infringement on civil liberties >as well as white supremacists’ longstanding exploitation of social issues such as abortion,inter-racial crimes, and same-sex marriage."(What does white supremacy have to do with ANY of the above issues? Besides, Planned Parenthood was started by a white supremacist.)
"incorporated aspects of an impending economic collapse to intensify fear and paranoia among like-minded individuals and to attract recruits during times ofThey just described Obama, Dodd, Franks, Pelosi, etc.
economic uncertainty."
(German Institute? Perhaps their experiences DON'T correlate to US results. Germans of all people should recognize extremism, huh?)High unemployment, however, has the potential to lead to alienation, thus increasing an individual’s susceptibility to extremist ideas. According to a 2007 study from the German Institute for Economic Research there appears to be a strong association between a parent’s unemployment status and the formation of rightwing extremist beliefs in their children—specifically xenophobia and antidemocratic ideals.
Yep. This describes the inner city, alright. All those right wing extremist clinging to their guns and God...."
Many rightwing extremist groups perceive recent gun control legislation as a threat to their right to bear arms and in response have increased weapons and ammunition stockpiling,"Sure are alot of rightwing liberals buying guns and ammo. "
During the 1990s, rightwing extremist hostility toward government was fueled by the implementation of restrictive gun laws—such as the Brady Law that established a 5-day waiting period prior to purchasing a handgun and the 1994 Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act that limited the sale of various types of assault rifles—and federal law enforcement’s handling of the confrontations at Waco, Texas and Ruby Ridge, Idaho."Where do I start.....even the DHS is buying into the BS of the 1994 law banning "assault rifles." NO ASSAULT RIFLES WERE BANNED. Those rifles are already restricted. And who in their right minds (get the pun?) isn't concerned about how the BATFE acted at Waco and Ruby Ridge. In both cases, their Rules of Engagement led to loss of life and they conducted a cover up. What part of "shall not be infringed" is hard to understand?
"On the current front, legislation has been proposed this year requiring mandatory registration of all firearms in the United States. Similar legislation was introduced in 2008 in several states proposing mandatory tagging and registration of ammunition. It is unclear if either bill will be passed into law; nonetheless, a correlation may exist between the potential passage of gun control legislation and increased hoarding of ammunition, weapons stockpiling, and paramilitary training activities among rightwing extremists."Uh,..... Yeah...
"Open source reporting of wartime ammunition shortages has likely spurred rightwing extremists—as well as law-abiding Americans—to make bulk purchases of ammunition. These shortages have increased the cost of ammunition, further exacerbating rightwing extremist paranoia and leading to further stockpiling activity. Both rightwing extremists and law-abiding citizens share a belief that rising crime rates attributed to a slumping economy make the purchase of legitimate firearms a wise move at this time."Apparently, if you are a conservative, you may be a racist, violent, terrorist; you are not a law-abiding American. Leftwing extremists exempted, of course. ALL AMERICANS SHOULD BE OFFENDED BY THE VIEWPOINT IN THIS DOCUMENT.
The Liberty Papers first reported this and Michelle Malkin confirms it.
